EFT for Reducing Anxiety and Cortisol Levels in First Time Pregnancy


Research study published in the Unnhes Journal of Public ealth, January 31, 2018 proposed to assess the effectiveness of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) to decrease anxiety in primiparous (first time) mothers.

The application of EFT was done in the third trimester, started and followed for 3 months: 7th, 8th & 9th.

The results proved that EFT contributed significantly 57% to lower anxiety levels and 43% to lower cortisol levels, indirectly affecting the readiness to the face childbirth process.
